Grand Hyatt Dubai

The Grand Hyatt is another party hotel. Great bars, and there is a nightclub sometimes on the beach- this hotel was and is great when the World Cup football is on. The place is PACKED. Fantastic valet, many great restaurants and the rooms are not so bad either. More to come on this.

The Fairmont Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road

Well if you want a place to party then this is it. Not only does this hotel has the Cavalli Club (MUST book in advance) it also has 4 massive penthouses that club goes or rich people rent out every single weekend and have massive private parties as each penthouse has its OWN club.
Owned by the stupendously rich Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan (son of the ruler of UAE)- This man knows how to party and know how to make a hotel full of clubs and parties. It is the ultimate hotel to bring the house down. In fact ever so the gentleman, Sheikh Sultan even threw a party for my girlfriend's  Birthday.
Getting back to the hotel, the rooms are nice, great room service but the penthouses are something else.

Al Qasr Hotel- One of my favourites

Now this hotel is just all about luxury. It has old style furnishings, fans, mosaics and food. It is definitely one of my favorites to be at. They also play old traditional arabic/persian music with the Oud Guitar.
There is a buffet downstairs that serves a wonderful array of food every night, and there IS an area for those who like to smoke and eat at the same time. (you will see what I mean when you come to the country). Also the Hotel has a side exit/entrance that will take you straight out into the Al Madinat Jumeirah- a walk area FULL of restarants, bars and clubs. 10/10 Awesome- but expensive. But hey! who cares about money!!

Jumeirah Beach Hotel

So right next to the Burj Al Arab is the Jumeirah Beach Hotel.  This is a fun hotel, with a  large sun deck area plus pool and cabanas. There is also a bar/club on the top floor that is very nice. Its a large spacious lobby area, but I do think the interior decorator for this area should be fired because nothing matches, or compliments each other. Sometimes you will have a pianist playing in the middle of the water.
Its a also a great hotel, and right next door to Wild Wadi - a GREAT water park for the whole family and you can spend the whole day there. Or even better, drop the kids off there and go pamper yourself at the hotel!!!

My Stay At Burj Al Arab

Apparently the only 7 Star Hotel in the world, the Burj Al Arab is hard hotel to compete with in many ways.
It is ultra luxurious, eccentric and eclectic in design, full of vibrants colours and odd shapes.
I stayed in this hotel for two nights, and as you can see from my picture, the rooms are incredibly spacious. The room I stayed in was a two-story suite- at about 15,000-25,000AED per night. So its not for the faint of heart or someone with shallow pockets. The Hotel is full of restaurants, bars and spas- even a hair salon. Also word of caution, you cannot even enter the land of the Hotel UNLESS you have a booking for dinner, or a hotel reservation. It is heavily guarded.

Hello and Welcome

Thanks for dropping by.
I am a global traveller.
This is a place where I would like to give my personal opinion about some of the great places and hotels to stay in Dubai.
We all know Dubai as a place of excess, fast moving and luxury. But believe me there is always dust brushed under even the most beautiful carpets!! Here you will find a direct glimpse about these hotels, and some other places in between. Enjoy!
